This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you access our websites at aiawarecertified.com and academy.aiawarecertified.com, purchase courses, or otherwise interact with our Services.
By using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

- Account login credentials (passwords stored hashed)
- Course progress, quiz results, and certification activity
- Communications: emails you send to us, support requests, course feedback, lab artifacts, exam responses

2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- IP address
- Device type and browser
- Usage data (pages visited, time spent, clicks)

2.3 Information from Third-Party Services (Payment Processing)
When you pay for a course, payment is collected and processed directly by LearnWorlds Payments at their checkout — payment information never passes through our systems. From LearnWorlds we receive limited billing confirmation data so we can fulfill your order, issue receipts, and respond to support requests:
- Transaction ID and purchase date
- Billing name and billing email
- Course or product purchased
- Amount paid and currency
We do not receive or store full payment card numbers, expiration dates, CVV codes, or full billing addresses. Those are handled exclusively by LearnWorlds and its sub-processors under their own data protection terms.
2.4 What We Do Not Collect
We do not knowingly collect production data, employer credentials, real customer PII, or other confidential third-party information that you may have access to in your professional role. Our Terms of Use require that you keep such data off our platform entirely.

- Process payments and issue receipts, certificates, and tax documentation
- Track your course progress and issue certificates of completion
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Send you transactional emails (purchase confirmations, course access, certificate notifications, policy updates)
- Send you marketing emails about new courses, content, and events — only with your explicit opt-in consent, and with a clear unsubscribe link in every message
- Improve our courses, platform, and learner experience using aggregated, de-identified usage data
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations (tax records, regulatory requests)
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Users)
For users in the EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Contract performance — providing the account, courses, payments, and certificates you purchased
- Consent — marketing emails, optional cookies, and any processing where consent is the appropriate basis
- Legitimate interests — platform security, fraud prevention, service improvement, aggregated analytics
- Legal compliance — tax records, accounting, regulatory requests
5. How We Share Information
5.1 Service Providers
We share information only with trusted vendors who help us deliver the Services, and only to the extent necessary:
- LearnWorlds — our learning platform and payment processor (course delivery, progress tracking, certificate issuance, and all payment handling). LearnWorlds may use its own sub-processors (e.g., Stripe) for payment infrastructure; those relationships are governed by LearnWorlds' own data protection terms.
- Vercel — hosts our marketing website and may collect anonymized visit metrics
- Google Workspace — email service for our company inbox (
aiaware@aiawarecertified.com)
These providers only access data as needed to perform their services, and are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
5.2 Legal or Compliance Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law (subpoena, court order, regulatory request) or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AI Aware LLC, our learners, or others.
5.3 Business Transfers
If AI Aware LLC is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that business transaction. We will notify affected learners by email and post a notice on our website if such a transfer occurs.
We do not sell personal data.
6. International Data Transfers
AI Aware LLC is based in the United States. If you access our Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Some of our service providers may also process information in other countries.
For transfers from the EU, UK, or Switzerland to the United States or other countries outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards permitted under applicable law, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, where required.

11. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not intended for individuals under 18 years old, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact aiaware@aiawarecertified.com and we will delete it.
